The Institute for Challenging Disorganization provides education, research and strategies to benefit people challenged by chronic disorganization, which poses an ongoing problem and undermines, often severely, an individual’s quality of life. Our CEO Marty Stevens-Heebner is an ICD Specialist in the areas of Hoarding, AD/HD and Chronic Disorganization.


The Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS) designation program was developed by the National Association of Home Builders in collaboration with Home Innovation Research Labs, and AARP. Many older home owners would like to “age-in-place,” which means making a home safe and comfortable so one can live there independently, regardless of age or mobility level. Our CEO is a CAPS certified aging in place specialist.

Our CEO Marty Stevens-Heebner is also a NASMM@Home specialist. This certificate program provides special training in the fundamentals of aging in place, including universal design, home safety and home modifications, as well as other tools and resources needed to effectively assist clients to safely remain in their homes.
