Sorting through your items prior to moving is one of the hardest things to do on your own, especially if you're downsizing. We’ll efficiently and gently guide you through the process and help separate out those items you no longer need or want. This saves both time and money during the actual move.
Packing and Inventory of Items
We carefully supervise the packing of all your belongings, making a thorough packing list and clearly labeling everything so it's delivered to the proper area in your new home.
Scheduling and Overseeing Movers
We can provide you with a list of trustworthy movers. Trained by our CEO, a certified senior move manager, your CHS team will work with the movers you choose to coordinate all the details and be there to supervise the movers the day of your move so everything is properly and efficiently taken care of. We can also arrange for utilities to be turned off in your current home once the move is done, and turned on in your new home.
Moving out of Southern California? We'll track the moving truck with your home's packed inventory so you'll know when it will arrive.
Unpacking and Resettling Your New Home
We can create a custom floor plan for your new home ahead of time so that when moving boxes arrive, we're ready to unpack, put away and resettle your new home. We can replicate the look of your current home or create something entirely new for you. When our work is done, you will walk into a home that is ready to live in. Your kitchenware will be in place, your computers and TVs connected and your bed made. When we are done you can just step through the door and call it home. Really.
Dispersal of Items You No Longer Need or Want
Selling—We manage the sale of your valuable items through various means, including estate sale and eBay experts.
Shipping—For items you'd like to give to family and friends, we use our shipping connections and expertise to find the most economical way to send them.
Donations—We take care of items to be donated by packing them up and arranging for the local charity of your choice to pick them up. We’ll make sure you receive a donation receipt and can also provide a detailed list and valuation for tax purposes if requested.
